Welcome!
I’m Jenn, wife and mommy to this brood. I started blogging in 2005, about a month before my oldest was to turn a year old. It was aptly named Princesses, Dogs, and Chaos. However, due to some unfortunate circumstances, that blog was abandoned and I started this one, Knee-Deep in Munchkin Land.
I was newly pregnant with our second-born and it seemed that I was going to be knee-deep in it all. Moreover, there was the additional benefit of being nicknamed Munchkin by my parents. In turn, I have bestowed that nickname on my eldest. Seems like an appropriate title for a place where I can write down all the fun, sad, hard, silly, and real stories of my life. This blog has quickly become home.
As the oldest of four girls, I am bossy. I am stubborn and strong-willed. I am a passionate woman, who is often either hot or cold. I am emotional and often base decisions on said emotions. I love fiercely and strongly, and often fight with the same. I am a daughter, granddaughter, niece, sister, wife, mommy, aunt, and friend.
Above everything else, you should know that I am a follower of Christ. I don’t have all the answers and very often make a mess of things. But I am thankful for One who offers grace and allows me to have a fresh start every morning. And I am especially grateful for all the blessings that I have been given.
There is nowhere on this wide, green earth that I would rather be than here… living it up in Munchkin Land.
